Gillian Crampton Smith answers the question: “What is Interaction Design?” She discusses the ways in which people adopt technologies, and talks about the growing sophistication in the qualities of interaction design, as the concerns of the designers have matured from only worrying about usability, towards the more complex and subtle issues of subjective and cultural contexts.
